US stocks pointed lower as industrial share dragged down the S&P while traders weighed the latest developments in the US tax overhaul.
Industrial metals tumbled, with copper suffering the biggest decline in 3 years with the prospect of slower Chinese demand, dollar gains, and a rise in stockpiles.
Oil traded above $57, Gold fell below $1267 and the Yen traded around 112.
European equities slumped as the decline in industrial metals hit mining shares.
Asian futures were mixed following the late sell-off in the US as industrial metals sank. Asian stocks are poised for the longest losing streak in two years as commodities companies led declines following a rout in copper prices. The Australian dollar and bond yields tumbled as traders dialled back expectations for higher interest rates after growth missed estimates.
